Webinar Cancellation, Refund Policies

ACRP pays its vendor in advance for all webcasts delivered during the calendar year. It is therefore in the best interest of the organization to carefully consider each request for cancellation or refund.

Cancellations

Because the webcasts are Internet-based and can be accessed from virtually any computer at any time, requests to cancel a registration are generally discouraged. In cases where a site is represented by a single person and that person is unable to attend, cancellation requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Any request for cancellation must be in writing and e-mailed to Lisa Richards, Education Operations Administrator, at lrichards@acrpnet.org prior to the registration deadline. The registration deadline for all webinars is 7 calendar days prior to the actual webcast.  Cancellations must be received (1) before the registration deadline AND (2) before the access URL is sent.  Requests that meet these two criteria are eligible for refund minus a $50 handling fee.

If the cancellation request is received after the access URL is sent, no refund will be given. Registrations may not be transferred to another webcast.

Refunds

Sites receive multiple communications from ACRP in an effort to ensure the technical viability of the webinar and the evaluation process.

Upon receipt of a refund request, ACRP staff may take steps to ascertain whether the person who registered the site has (1) disseminated the final notification memo and viewing URL to all participants, (2) verified the site’s hardware and software capabilities by using the Webcast Group Support Pages, and (3) communicated with the site’s I.T. Department or ISP regarding blocking software and/or other technical limits placed on the site’s computer system.

The ACRP cannot be held responsible for a site’s failure to read and follow the instructions issued prior to the webinar.  If technical difficulties are experienced on the day of the webinar that are not the fault of the ACRP or its vendor, the site will be given temporary access to a recorded rebroadcast following the live webinar in lieu of a refund.
