Member Campaign Overview
ACRP would like to enlist your help in spreading the word to your fellow colleagues about the value and importance of belonging to the association during the 2008 ACRP Member-Get-A-Member Campaign. To nominate a candidate who you feel would benefit from our association, fill out the appropriate forms and submit his/her information. The nominating member then qualifies for entry into a drawing for one of three prizes awarded by ACRP. The nominating member must be a current, active ACRP/APPI member to qualify for the drawing.
Eligibility
Persons in any of the following categories are not eligible to participate in the Member-Get-A-Member Campaign. (1) Persons who are employed by The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and related entities, independent contractors, advertising/design/promotional firms, or service agencies; (2) persons who are engaged in the development, production or implementation of this campaign; (3) persons who reside in the same household (whether related or not) as, any person in either of the preceding categories.
How to Register
Access the Member-Get-A-Member Campaign by visiting acrpnet.org/membergetamember. Click on the online membership form link. To request mailed entry forms, please email andrea@acrpnet.org. Fill out the form to nominate a candidate who would benefit from an ACRP membership. Submit the nomination form. Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 28, 2008. Mailed entries must be postmarked by November 28, 2008, and received by December 5, 2008. Submission of nominee names must be in compliance with any applicable confidentiality or personnel policies. The nominating members’ name will then be entered into a drawing for one of the three available prizes. To be valid, an entry must nominate an individual who is not an ACRP member and has not been a member within the past 12 months. The nominating member must provide valid nominee contact information, or entry will be disqualified. Enter as often as you like, but each entry must be based on a different nominee’s name. Duplicate entries from the same entrant will be disqualified.
Additionally, all participants who nominate individuals will be recognized on the ACRP website, and their names will appear in ACRP’s bimonthly magazine, The Monitor.
Personal Information
By filling out the information on the registration form, each Member agrees and acknowledges that ACRP is permitted to receive the entrant’s registration data. All personal information collected will be used by ACRP in accordance with its privacy policy.
Drawing
Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries on or about December 10, 2008, with the drawing conducted by a notary at a third party organization not affiliated with ACRP, APPI or the Academy. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or email on or about December 19, 2008. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Entry constitutes acceptance of all rules. ACRP’s decisions in all matters will be final.

Prizes
Grand Prize. Winner’s choice of a seven night Mediterranean cruise or seven night Alaska cruise. The Alaska cruise would depart from Seattle or Vancouver (based on the selection of inside passage or outside passage sailing options). The Mediterranean cruise would depart from Barcelona or Rome. The package will be for two guests sharing an outside stateroom. The package includes all on board meals, entertainment, port charges, taxes, and government fees. Round trip coach airfare will be included, along with airport to ship transfers. Selection of the air carrier to be at the discretion of the cruise line. Onboard gratuities, shore excursions, additional meals, transportation to airport and any incidental charges will be the responsibility of the winner. Dates of travel are subject to availability at time of booking. Travel reservations must be made before December 31, 2008 for travel in 2009. Travel must be completed within one year from the date of award notification. Please be advised that a passport will be required for all travelers. Visas may be required for specific countries on Mediterranean cruise.
Second place prize is a Laptop. ACRP will select and purchase this item online and have the product shipped directly to the winner’s location (within the Continental US). Delivery fees and taxes for shipment within the continental US will be the responsibility of ACRP. Additional shipping and customs charges, etc., for a non-US shipment will be the responsibility of the winner.
Third prize is a Best Buy Gift Card.
Prizes cannot be exchanged or returned for other prizes, merchandise, or cash, or for reasons of dissatisfaction upon winner's receipt of (non-damaged) prize(s). If any potential winner cannot be contacted within 10 days of the first attempt, or if any potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner forfeits the prize(s) and an alternate winner will be chosen. Approximate retail values of prizes are as follows: Grand prize ($6,000), Laptop ($2,000), Best Buy Gift Card ($1000). All income taxes, fees, and surcharges on the prize won are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). Actual value of travel prize will depend on air travel and/or other arrangements chosen; any difference between the actual value and the stated prize value will not be awarded.
Additional Terms
By accepting a prize, winner agrees that ACRP, APPI and the Academy, the employees, directors or officers of these companies, are not liable whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.
