Medix Clinical Research, a team within Medix focused on workforce solutions for clinical trials, and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) hosted an educational boot camp May 1-5.
The inaugural Clinical Research Coordinator Boot Camp, the first in a quarterly series of trainings, was aimed at addressing the workforce shortages negatively affecting clinical research sites across the United States.
“Powered by ACRP’s experience and passion for clinical research education, Medix’s on-going partnership with ACRP allows our organization to use our staffing expertise to help sites find the right talent,” said Molly Downhour, Medix Clinical Research Consultant. “Together, we’re excited to create a workforce prepared for the rapidly changing clinical research industry, while elevating the standards for both entry of the workforce and quality of research.”
Boot camp participants took part in rigorous didactic work and role playing scenarios, earning continuing credits and an ACRP certificate, giving them the opportunity to secure high-demand roles at research sites.
“Building a competent workforce for conducting clinical research is a critical goal in achieving our mission to promote excellence and drive innovation,” says Jim Kremidas, ACRP Executive Director. “We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to support Medix in their pursuit of providing competent study coordinators for investigator sites.”
