The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) welcomes Biogen as a Workforce Partner member of the ACRP Partners in Workforce Advancement.
ACRP Partners in Workforce Advancement is a multi-stakeholder collaborative initiative to grow and expand the diversity of the clinical research workforce, and to set and support standards for workforce competence.
The collaborative provides Biogen with talent recruitment and acquisition resources to drive strategic direction of their clinical research workforce. As a Workforce Partner member, Biogen gains access to ACRP’s community of over 50,000 clinical research professionals and receives recognition as an Employer of Choice. Through this partnership, Biogen will advance their position as a leader in supporting staff development as well as workforce development.
“Organizations aligned with ACRP’s mission are working together to improve clinical trial quality and outcomes for patients by focusing where others have not – workforce planning, development and assessment. Because in clinical research, people are everything,” says Susan Landis, ACRP Executive Director. “We are thankful for the support of Biogen and look forward to working together to overcome these critical challenges.”
Biogen, founded in 1978 as one of the world’s first global biotechnology companies, is advancing the industry’s most diversified pipeline in neuroscience that will transform the standard of care for patients in several areas of high unmet need. As pioneers in neuroscience, Biogen has discovered, developed and delivered worldwide innovative therapies for people living with serious neurological and neurodegenerative diseases. Biogen has the leading portfolio of medicines to treat multiple sclerosis, has introduced the first approved treatment for spinal muscular atrophy, and is providing the first and only approved treatment to address a defining pathology of Alzheimer’s disease.
“We are proud to partner with ACRP to develop and diversify the clinical research workforce. Through our transformative Internship and Co-op programs we offer experiential learning opportunities designed to engage bright, passionate students with different backgrounds and diverse perspectives by providing hands-on experiences and exposure to the biotech and clinical research industry. As members of ACRP’s Partners in Workforce Advancement, we will further our commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion both within and outside our organization,” says Aaron Deykin, Biogen’s Head of Clinical Sciences.
