Partners in Workforce Advancement: Clinical Research Site Sustainability Fund

Investigator sites and their teams are hurting. COVID-19 is disrupting site operations and threatening global capacity to conduct both private- and public-sponsored clinical trials.

As a direct result of COVID-19:

Even before COVID-19 hit, 59% of sites reported having only 3 months or less of operating cash.

Meanwhile, new data suggests clinical trial suspensions are on the rise and companies are “most worried about access to trial sites, their ability to enroll and continuity of participation.”

Many smaller sites are laying off or furloughing staff, including clinical research coordinators. Many are at risk of going out of business due to significant cash flow issues in the face of delayed or discontinued trials.

At the same time, struggling sites are cutting budgets and programs that support staff development and make sure clinical operations teams are properly trained and ready to execute studies for sponsors and CROs.

We want to help. If you do, too, please join ACRP’s Partners in Workforce Advancement and help us support struggling clinical research sites.
