ACRP Statement on ACRP 2020 Annual Conference

While we were greatly looking forward to bringing the clinical research community together this May in Seattle for the ACRP 2020 annual conference, Washington State on March 11 immediately prohibited events of more than 250 people in three counties, including King County, home to Seattle. The prohibition is effective through March, but Gov. Jay Inslee warned of a “highly likely” extension for an undetermined period of time. As a result of this announcement—and in consideration of the health and safety of ACRP 2020 participants, partners, staff, and their families—the ACRP 2020 annual conference will not be held as planned in Seattle, May 1-4.

If you are registered for ACRP 2020, please continue reading for important information…

The ACRP annual conference is important; it brings our community together to learn, connect, and explore opportunities to drive excellence in clinical research. It also provides a significant source of the funding we use to invest in the programs and services you rely on to accelerate your career, improve your business, and improve public health and wellness.

Your ACRP 2020 registration is an investment not only in yourself, but in your field.

We’re asking – if you can – that you maintain your investment in ACRP by carrying a credit for the amount paid for ACRP 2020. If you do, ACRP will provide an additional $150 of credit free of charge. You can use your credit (registration fee plus an additional $150) to pay for any ACRP program or service—including ACRP 2021 in Toronto, May 14-17, 2021—through May 2021.

Your support will help ACRP continue to provide the critical programs and services our community relies on.

We understand this is not an option for everyone – so if you need your ACRP 2020 registration to be refunded, we will happily do that without a cancellation fee through April 15, 2020.

If you booked your hotel for ACRP 2020, you do not need to take action. All hotel reservations will be automatically cancelled for you. No charges will be incurred as a result of the cancellation and no further action is required.

If you booked your flight for ACRP 2020, we encourage you to immediately contact your airline to make appropriate arrangements.

We are exploring options to make ACRP 2020 content available to you throughout the year and will share updates as soon as they are available.

In the meantime, please be mindful that ACRP has a variety of online resources – many available free to ACRP Members – to support continuing education and Maintenance of Certification.

If you have any questions or need immediate support, please contact us.
