What makes a clinical research professional competent? How do you or your employer know if you are competent? What are the industry’s expectation for competency development? How can you enhance your own competencies to expand your career opportunities?

Since the landmark article “Moving from Compliance to Competency: A Harmonized Core Competency Framework for the Clinical Research Professional” was published in 2014, The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) has been working tirelessly to:
• Build upon the competency framework and translate the competency domains into role-specific competency guidelines,
• Map the competency expectations into ACRP’s certification programs
• Incorporate the competency framework into its training programs and conferences

This webinar will provide the “who, what, where, when, why and how” of competency development and assessment. You’ll learn about both theory and practice related to competency achievement and how you can best take advantage of ACRP’s competency-related resources. You’ll also be introduced to the latest data on the impact that ACRP certification has on trial productivity and quality.

Upon completion of this Webinar, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe competency expectations for clinical research professionals
  2. Discuss the various resources available from ACRP to support your competency development
  3. Identify your own competency gaps and develop a plan for achieving greater competence in priority areas
