ACRP Welcomes Duke Office of Clinical Research, HCA Healthcare Research Institute, Florence Healthcare as Partners Advancing the Clinical Research Workforce™

Consortium Members Committed to Building Diverse, Research-Ready Clinical Trial Workforce

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) today announces Duke Office of Clinical Research, HCA Healthcare Research Institute, and Florence Healthcare as the newest members of ACRP’s Partners Advancing the Clinical Research Workforce™.

ACRP’s Partners Advancing the Clinical Research Workforce™ is a multi-stakeholder collaborative of clinical research industry leaders who are committed to building a diverse, research-ready clinical research workforce.

Member organizations – who include sponsors, CROs, investigator sites, academic institutions, regulatory agencies, and more – provide strategic direction and support for breaking down barriers and building bridges for entry into the clinical research profession through several key initiatives, including:

  • Informing and influencing industry understanding of the challenges and opportunities in clinical research workforce development through thought leadership (More >)
  • Setting and supporting standards for workforce competencies (More >)
  • Developing resources for industry stakeholders to build awareness and recruit early talent into the clinical research profession (More >)
  • Spearheading and supporting novel programs to drive prospective clinical research professionals to the workforce (More >)

“Building a larger, more diverse workforce is imperative to the existence, quality, and efficiency of clinical research and the inclusion of more diverse clinical trial participants,” says Susan Landis, ACRP Executive Director. “We are grateful for the support of our consortium members and their leadership in helping break down barriers to entry in the clinical research workforce and creating fundamental change in industry recruiting and retention strategies.”

“We’ve been working on building a resilient, more diverse workforce at our academic medical center since 2014,” says Denise Snyder, Associate Dean for Clinical Research at Duke University’s Office of Clinical Research. “We appreciate the partnerships and perspectives gained from our participation in PACRW. We look forward to partnering with PACRW to strengthen the clinical research professional identity.”
