Celebrating Clinical Research Professionals at ACRP 2022 and Beyond

Susan Landis

In just a few days, ACRP will welcome our members and many other clinical research stakeholders to Orlando in person as the ACRP 2022 annual conference begins!

I am excited to see old colleagues and friends, and to meet new ones. I am equally eager to meet many ACRP staff and volunteers in person for the first time since I became Executive Director last year—COVID-19 has prevented our team from gathering face-to-face as well as forced us to go virtual with our conference sessions the past two years.

In addition to a stellar and substantive educational agenda, the overarching goal this year is to celebrate you—our amazing members and supporters who are the engine behind moving medicines forward and improving health for everyone. In my years in clinical research, I have learned one thing for sure—you are awesome.

I believe it is not enough to celebrate you for only a few days a year. Clinical research professionals are healthcare heroes, too. You matter, and that’s why ACRP is focused on three key goals for the coming year:

  • Continuing to deliver on our promise of offering the gold standard in clinical research through our core educational offerings and certification programs—the tools you need to build and advance your career.
  • Ensuring that the voice of the clinical research professionals is included in discussions about the future of clinical research through renewed thought leadership efforts featuring our members, certificants, and fellows.
  • Engaging you with your community via our website, our conference, and involvement in committees that allow you to apply your expertise to advance excellence in clinical research.

At the conference, you are invited to a panel session which will drive home the message that there is no research in our field without you, the dedicated clinical research professional. My hope for this year’s conference is that you come away from ACRP 2022 with renewed knowledge and a refreshed spirit.

See you soon!
