Pay it forward. A rising tide lifts all boats. One for all and all for one. Strength in numbers. These and other slogans are helpful reminders of how sharing information can help everyone.
Jill Clark, MBA, CCRP, CCRC, ACRP-PM, chair of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Nevada Chapter, has taken the concept to heart by linking other ACRP Chapters from across the nation together in a consortium to share speakers, programming ideas, and tactics for developing the clinical research workforce.
Clark is also director of the Regional Clinical Investigation Program for the 99th Medical Group – Nellis Air Force Base with the United States Air Force. In her volunteer life, she’s currently got nearly 20 ACRP Chapters involved in cooperative planning, but she’s not ready to stop there. “The more the merrier,” Clark says. “This is such a great way to make it easier for chapters to have access to speakers and resources [that we can] share together,” she adds.
The ACRP Consortium currently consists of the following chapters: Atlanta; Baltimore-Washington; Chicagoland; New England (Boston area); Greater Salt Lake City; Greater San Diego; Gulf States (New Orleans area); Houston; Nevada; Northern California (San Francisco area); North Texas (Dallas area); Research Triangle Park (central North Carolina); Virginia; Western New York (Rochester area); Wisconsin; Nashville; Phoenix; Suncoast (Tampa area); and Tulsa.
“I am thrilled to be able to offer this to ACRP Chapters to build collaborations and lighten the burden of educational offerings to ACRP Consortium members,” Clark says.
