Most would agree that career success is measured by how far you are able to progress up your organizational ladder—whether it’s progression to Senior Associate, Director, Vice President, or higher. Many of us have also realized that effort alone cannot be solely relied upon to reach your career goal.

While the technical understanding of your job responsibilities is critical, the relationships you develop along the way are just as important and, in some cases, even more important. “It’s not what you know, but who you know.” The individuals you work with every day may be that person you “need to know.”

In this session, attendees will be provided perspectives to differentiate between a network, coach, mentor, and sponsor. Participants will use a provided tool to begin developing a plan that can be used to manage these relationships.

Through completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Differentiate between a network, coach, mentor, and sponsor.
2. Identify their network and potential mentors.
3. Compose their Elevator Speech to be used for networking activities.
