The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is proud to welcome its new class of 2024 Fellows. Recognized with the FACRP designation for their contributions to ACRP and to the clinical trial industry, each member has demonstrated commitment to advancing the profession by sharing his or her experiences and mentoring others in the field.
“We are honored and excited to welcome three distinguished new members to this esteemed group,” said Susan Landis, Executive Director of ACRP. “Selection as an ACRP Fellow serves notice that you are a thought leader in this great enterprise, and have shared your time and talents generously through efforts to enhance the workforce and further elevate clinical trial quality.”
Meet the members of the ACRP Fellows class of 2024:
Jennifer McLeland, PhD, RPSGT, CCRC, ACRP-PM, FACRP
Jennifer is a manager in the Division of Clinical Research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., where she has filled various research roles in the Department of Neurology for more than 20 years, demonstrating her experience in investigator-initiated research, multicenter trials, and consortium research environments. Jennifer has coordinated several landmark studies examining the relationship between sleep disruption, amyloid dynamics, and subsequent risk of Alzheimer’s Disease, and has coauthored several publications on related topics. In addition to her duties as the Deputy Director of the North American Prodromal Synucleinopathy Consortium Stage 2 (NAPS2) for REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, she is currently serving in her second year as Chair of the ACRP Professional Ethics Committee. A member of the ACRP Kansas City Chapter, she has also been an exam item writer, trainer, and webinar presenter for the Association, and a speaker at several ACRP conferences.
Dee Tilley, RN, CGRN, CCRC, ACRP-MDP, ACRP-PM, FACRP
Dee is a clinical research nurse for Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, a critical care regional referral and teaching center within the Bon Secours Mercy Health system, where she has worked for 35 years. She has 24 years of research experience in Phase I–IV clinical trials, with a special interest in infectious disease, gastroenterology, and rare diseases. She obtained her clinical research coordinator certification (CCRC®) through ACRP in 2006, followed more recently by additional certifications in medical device (ACRP-MDP®) and project management (ACRP-PM®) sub-specialties. She received her associate degree in Nursing from the University of Toledo. She first became involved with ACRP by item writing for the CCRC exam in 2013, served as a committee member for the exam from 2014 to 2020 (including serving as the committee Chair from 2018 to 2020), and participated in the creation of the ACRP-MDP exam. She is dedicated to contributing to the processes and oversight of ACRP.
Naoki Tsutsumi, PhD, CCRA, FACRP
Naoki is a Professor at Hiroshima University Hospital and an Associate Professor at Osaka University Hospital, both since 2023, a Representative Director of MedGratiam, and CEO of the Tutti Quality Assurance Network. Among other positions, he has more than 30 years of experience working in pharmaceutical companies as a clinical research associate and study manager for Bayer and as a global auditor for AstraZeneca. He received his PhD from the University of Tokyo with a focus on paradigm shifts in clinical research, and is widely published on other topics in the field, including being a coauthor of a well-known reference book in Japan, “Pocket Handbook for Multinational Clinical Research.” He served on the Global CCRA Exam Committee for The Academy of Clinical Research Professionals from 2012 to 2018 and on the Academy’s Board of Trustees from 2020 to 2022.
