The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is proud to announce the launch of its 2025 cycling fundraiser, the ACRP Rally4Researchers.
Research shows that study sites with multicultural personnel do a better job of recruiting volunteers that represent a broad patient population that’s needed to ensure that today’s medicines work for everyone.
This six-day, 355-mile cycling journey from Pittsburgh, Pa., to Washington, D.C., raises funds for the ACRP Access for Students to Clinical Research Training (ASCRT) Scholarship Program for early-career and graduate-level students pursuing an education in clinical research. It also supports educational grants so researchers can benefit from gold-standard education and professional networking at the ACRP Annual Conference.
“Our hope for this year’s Rally4Researchers is that we all reconnect with the critical need to raise funds for scholarships and grants that give access to training for people who demonstrate a passion and a need for support to enter and advance a career in clinical research,” says Susan Landis, ACRP Executive Director. “In today’s environment, ACRP is calling for recognition of our dedicated supporters and our shared commitment to supporting the development of a diverse and research-ready workforce through funded educational programs that are open to all and serve to improve representation in clinical research.”
Since 2021, this cycling fundraiser has raised almost $250,000 in donations from 461 individual donors and 55 corporate sponsors. In 2025, ACRP awarded four $5,000 ASCRT scholarships to students from underrepresented communities enrolled in community college, four-year, or master’s-level clinical research programs. Scholarship recipients were selected by the ACRP Diversity Advisory Council. Additionally, 15 educational grants and travel stipends of $2,000 each were awarded to support attendance at ACRP 2025 in New Orleans, La.
“Our industry’s efforts to increase representation are not only for those we serve (our patients); this work is also keenly focused on those we serve alongside (our colleagues),” says Ashley Moultrie, ACRP Diversity Advisory Council Chair and Associate Director, Clinical Trial Diversity, Syneos Health. “The ACRP Rally4Researchers aims to close the equity gap in clinical research as a career option, an essential—and significant—step toward realizing health equity for all.”
“Everyone should have an equal opportunity to pursue their dreams. My goal is to raise awareness and funds to support clinical researchers from diverse communities. Representation matters!” says Scott Chatterton, ACRP Rally4Researchers Rider and Vice President, Business Development, Javara.
