Impact of ICH E6(R3) on ACRP Certification

We are pleased to share this important update with our ACRP Certified community.

ACRP will incorporate the updated ICH Guideline for Good Clinical Practice E6(R3) into all ACRP Certification examinations within the next two years, based on its final adoption date of January 6, 2025. This ensures that candidates have sufficient time to accumulate the required 3,000 hours of professional experience under the revised guideline.

In line with our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of competency and adherence to current industry standards, we strongly encourage candidates testing during this two-year period to participate in continuing education related to the ICH GCP E6(R3) update.

In July 2025, ACRP launched its Good Clinical Practice (GCP) ICH E6(R3) Course, a foundational training to support compliance with new Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines governing clinical research operations and execution globally. Through role-specific microlearning and interactive, real-world case studies, you’ll gain practical insights into the essential role of Good Clinical Practice in the conduct of clinical trials. This course will be FREE for ACRP members (without ACRP Contact Hours), and $60 (members) and $239 (non-members) for 4.0 ACRP Contact Hours.

If you haven’t watched the ACRP webinar, Crack the Code: A Comparison of ICH E6(R2) and ICH E6(R3), and would like to earn 1.0 ACRP Contact Hours to count towards your maintenance of certification, you can enroll here. It’s $15 for ACRP members and $75 for non-members.

ACRP members earn the lowest rates on all maintenance of certification fees and ACRP Contact Hour activities. If you’re not yet an ACRP member, we encourage you to join today!
