Few industries have a need to understand the world of compliance more than clinical research. With patient privacy and security oversight, human research protections, U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations, Good Clinical Practice recommendations, and scientific integrity concerns, there is a lot that clinical researchers need to know to stay compliant and run an ethical program.
The nature of compliance can be complicated and layered, but with the right support and education, it becomes manageable and even second nature. HCCA has hosted its annual Compliance Institute (CI) for more than 25 years with the goal of providing the support and knowledge that is so critical to success.

The 27th Annual Compliance Institute offers two conference experiences to choose from. Participants can attend a four-day, in-person experience April 23–26 in Anaheim, Calif. or a three-day, virtual option held April 24–26. When you join us in Anaheim, you will have access to 121 educational sessions from 14 different subject tracks; enjoy face-to-face networking and engagement with other attendees, speakers, and solution providers; have the chance to participate in a local volunteer project, a SpeedNetworking activity, and evening receptions; and take an optional Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® certification exam on the last day of the conference.
Those who participate in the virtual conference format will have access to 63 educational sessions from 12 different subject tracks live streamed from Anaheim, the chance to interact with speakers and other session attendees via our robust virtual platform, the ability to participate in session polling and take notes that will be e-mailed post-conference, opportunities to network virtually with both in-person and virtual attendees, and the contact information necessary to reach out virtually to conference solution providers and sponsors.
All attendees can earn CCB continuing education units (CEUs) as well as get 60-day access to all session recordings post-conference.
